Karl Malden picks up a Screen Actors Guild lifetime achievement award in 2002 Malden's family informed the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences of his death. The actor had served as the academy's president from 1989 to 92. Continues here Flipping heck, this section is turning into an obituary. They're dropping like flies!

OK Karl Malden was more than the 70s he had a film carear before that but for my genaration he was Michael Douglas partner in The Streets of San Francisco lol
